Happy New Year! I am starting a new photo project today – in conjunction with a new flickr group, Year in iPhone Pictures, I will be taking and posting a photo a day taken solely with my iPhone and processed only with iPhone apps (like my favorites BestCam and CameraBag).
This first installment for the new year 2010 is a photo I took as I went outside my front door and looked up. Right into my porch light. Nothing fancy, but lets be honest, with all the FANTASTIC bowl games on today, it was hard to take off and go photo-walking.
There it is – and if you have an iPhone, feel free to join in on the iPhone photo a day.
I did that last year – my photos are posted here: http://sukouts.tumblr.com/
I had no idea you were doing a photo a day – I love them!
I am going to have to go through the whole year and find my favorites. (I hope you took some of the Red Sox!)
What a great idea. I was in the bookstore before the holidays and almost picked up a book – the title was something like, The Best Camera is the One You Have With You…and the entire book was photos taken from phone cameras, throwaway cameras, and the like. It goes to show, given the opportunity, the right lighting, and a good eye, it’s more about the human than the machine. I picked up the Ansel Adams in Color book instead….but I won’t forget the first one.
That is a wonderful book! The author, Chase Jarvis, is a photographer and he also put out an app on the iPhone called BestCam – I use it quite a bit.
