I was restless this morning and decided to go out for a little photowalk and I wound up on the west side of Utah Lake. Ice and snow pretty much covered everything.

I loved how the reeds and grasses were poking up in different places through the ice.

It was pretty desolate out there, and add that emptiness to the nasty air quality we have currently in Utah, and it looked pretty bleak all the way to Timp.

Vertigo

This is a Self Portrait of my shadow and crack in the ice. Yea, hearing the ice crack beneath your feet is a little unsettling.
Gets the blood pumping for sure! Maybe skis or snowshoes next time would be a good idea.

Saw this very cool old abandoned house on my way back home – would be fun to go back there and explore some more.
