I looked all over – there is snow up the canyon now – and I wasn’t going to head up in my trail running shoes – so – I pulled out my D40 and went and took pictures of the sunrise and some cows instead.

The moral of this story? Get your crap packed up the night before – or when all else fails, take out your camera and shoot.
Now I need to go find my boots!
