going crazy

Work is crazy busy right now – I barely have time to breathe – and I feel like I am overly cranky / anxious. I think much of it is the timing with everything that has to be done with the new house, Jen starting her great new job as a Hydrology Tech for the US Forest Service, and the fact that I haven’t been able to shoot anything lately. I need to devote some time today to just click the shutter – and explore the new surroundings and see what cool things my new neighborhood has to offer.

I tried applying a water seal to my deck this morning and it looks like absolute crap. I used a sprayer and there is just no way to get it even so I will be re-doing that – hopefully later on tonight.
We got the yard planned out; flowerbeds, rock, grass, trees etc. At least now we know where we want everything so it should be easier to plan and finish the irrigation and sprinklers.

Only 7 more days of school.
I have been shuttling the kids to and from school since we moved and Jen started her job. It is a little hectic. Jen’s dad has been kind enough to pick them up a few times, but I will be glad when school is out so I can start riding to work again. The longer distance from Spanish Fork should make for a good trip.

Speaking of riding  I may have a new bike soon – at least if I can talk my wife into it. A co-worker, who is a fantastic cyclist and a great racer, has a decked out Stumpjumper Pro that has less than 60 miles on it – it is in prime condition. He has offered it to me for a great price as he just never rides it – now I just need to beg the wife and see if we can squeeze it in the budget. I love the Stumpjumper frame (I have a hardtail M4) and this one fits really well.

New photos coming tomorrow – I am going to post photos of the house, my office, the neighborhood and probably a portrait or two of the kids.
