about

I am an amateur Nikon-loving photography junky living in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains in Utah. I have been consumed by the camera since my wife bought me my first DSLR (the spunky Nikon D40) for Christmas in 2007.

I love black and white photography… the majority of everything I shoot comes out in monochrome.
I am currently using the very capable Nikon D90 with a wide variety of lenses. The D700 is in my cross hairs.
I use Lightroom for most of my post-processing, with a few tweaks here and there in Photoshop.  I am a Mac geek who started out with a Macintosh II over 20 years ago; I am currently obsessed with my iPhone and just love shooting with it – I use several apps but by far the ones I like most are BestCamera and Camerabag. It is like having a whole collection of toy cameras in your pocket.

Along with this passion for photography I love being outside – mountain biking, hiking, fishing… I do it all.

Thank you for coming by – and if you are also stricken with this disease feel free to leave me a link to your website or portfolio. You can also contact me on any of the below listed sites – Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and if you really want to talk about something other than photography, you can reach me on linkedin.

Professionally I work in international business development – basically everything from setting up foreign offices, banking relationships and logistics to my specialty, nutritional supplement and cosmetic product registration and regulatory affairs. I speak Japanese and Chinese Mandarin, and am trying to learn German. Unfortunately though, I only seem to remember the bad words. Scheiße!

and so it goes…
